Everything is Everything
Here's your free preview of Nudge 4. Tell NO ONE
Sup Goofenbachers,
I have a story I’m currently writing about Games Done Quick that I thought would be ready for this week, but yet again it’s not. Just have a lot of, uh, buns in the oven? Is that the expression? What I’m trying to say is I’m so very pregnant — with a food baby.
But in all seriousness, that one should hit your inbox in the next week or LESS. Not only do we cover what went down at the biggest video game speed running event in the world, but we talk about how we can use what THEY do to shape the future of pinball streaming for the better. Yeah, ambitious.
But this week? Well, we’re putting the finishing touches on a magazine I’m super duper proud of. Because as of yesterday NUDGE 4 SINGLE ISSUES ARE ON SALE.
That’s right. Buy Nudge 4 in all its glory. Shipping by the end of this month, you’re gonna like the way it makes you feel. We’ve had a lot of stuff go on sale in the last few weeks, so I’ll just break it down for you here. C
The Cary Hardy Pack (Nudge 1 + Nudge 4)
You get our oldest issue AND our newest issue. Plus a buncha fun extras, like a Gramma’s Gravy pin, prints, and stickers. It’s honestly the best way to experience it all, but hey — sometimes you want it ala carte. In THAT case.
Nudge 1 (Just the Mag)
If you’re just looking for Nudge 1 to complete your run of issues, we’ve made that available as a single. Yes, it’s thirty dollars. The reason is because it costs us a good chunk of change to run a reprint, and I’m not going to do it unless I don’t lose money on it. Trust me, with all the stuff we jammed in here, it’s worth it. Plus I’ve had a couple people offer me a boatload more for that for MY issue 1s, so I’d say INVEST AWAY.
And finally…
Nudge 4 (just the mag)
Our biggest and best issue yet. Cover by Dave Zuchora, featuring Megan at their arcade pop up during Riot Fest. There’s so much stuff in here that we’ll preview for you in a minute — but just know, this is THE definitive issue of Nudge.
So what’s in this dang thing?
I’m gonna do something we’ve never done before. I’m going to let y’all peep some of the layouts EARLY for these articles because I think it’s the only way to kinda see how dope it truly is. You MIGHT find a typo or two here (we’ve caught a couple, including a Bond 30th reference), but for the most part this is going to be how the magazine appears in your hot little hands. So where do we start? How about New Zealand, where Sam Stonnell has given us THE definitive guide to Scrumpy Split Flip.
Note: We will not be giving you the full articles here, just a lil’ peep.
Scrumpy Split Flip by Sam Stonnell
Sam is an amazing illustrator, photog, and writer. Their introduction of their completely degenerate Scrumpy Split Flip was one of my fave articles to ever cross my desk. Not only that, but peep the dope digital/film collage that they’ve created by drawing directly onto film scans. So cool!
Gramma’s Gravy/Deadflip
Gramma’s Gravy is our fave medicinal Gravy. This vibey Deadflip page speaks for itself.
24 Hour Pinball People by Chris Ward
Chris is one of our best writers. He spent 24 hours playing pinball so that you don’t have to. Trust me, you’ll thank us.
Walk In On Sunshine By Gina Collecchia
Gina guides us thru one of NYC’s most iconic pinball spots. There’s everything you could want here: money, power, Jason Sudeikis, nice-ass pinball machines. You know, the works. Plus, tons of awesome Gina pics.
Tons of Gina X Gene pics in general
We have a metric ton of awesome pics from Gina and Gene all over this thing. Explanation over.
All the other stuff you love
Illustrations by Tanner Petch, music reviews by Matt Keil, an Ask Iggy for the ages. Plus a fricken ton more. Wanna see more? Welp, you’re just gonna have to pony up that 20 bucks and be the good lil’ pinball freak we all know you are.
Next week? Speed Runs
No, that isn’t a diarrhea reference. Come on man, get real.
Doc Monday,
Editor in Chief, Nudge Magazine

Any chance we might see a Nudge 3 + 4 bundle soon?
