Hola Goofenbachers,
It’s spring! Everyone in the midwest is in a better mood. We’re driving around with the windows down and wearing shorts, even though it’s like 47 degrees. It gives you hope in humanity. I think midwesterners are inherently a little optimistic. They live through winter and then feel this crazy lift for no reason right around this time of year, EVERY YEAR. Even when things are super shitty, you can’t help but think they’ll get better.
That’s how I feel with my play on Dungeons and Dragons lately. I suck ass at this game. It’s not their fault. It’s mine, but at the same time — it’s frustrating as fuck. I very rarely break 100 mil in that game. I just gotta figure it out. Things will get better.
Hey, you know what would be a good April fool’s prank? Going around for the next telling people how much you AREN’T ordering Nudge magazines for them, and then going ahead and ordering a shitload of them this week right off our website. Then you’ll be able to see the look on these idiots’ faces when they’re surprised by a Nudge magazine they were sure WASN’T being ordered for them! Can you imagine? Doesn’t get better.
What a goof!
What do we have this week? Lots of Scott Danesi on the pod. I’ll link to that here, but also let’s use this as an opportunity to look at one of Scott’s most successful creations. No, that doesn’t mean Total Nuclear Annihilation or Rick and Morty. We’re talking, of course, about Pinball Olympics. It’s our favorite spot to photograph every year and beyond that is maybe the most righteous hang in all of pinball. You don’t believe me? You better!
Oh, stick around until the end of the episode! You’ll hear a nice little secret track from us that hides a story about some trouble Scott got into in college. It’s worth it. Just pretend you’re a goofy lil’ undergrad. You better!
