Also, I have the same problem as you of not knowing what my mood does once I’m in it. I thought I was the only one!

I must regretfully admit that my mom’s chili was just not very good. Way too tomato-ey and she used kidney beans instead of pinto beans. MY chili, on the other hand, is awesome. I just buy a package of Carroll Shelby’s Chili Fixins and follow the instructions. Or I use a recipe from the internet to make a version of the famous chili from Tommy’s Hamburgers in L.A. (I once got a jaywalking ticket, I believe in 1969, for running across Ramparts to get in line quicker at Tommy’s.) Also, should you not have heard of or not been to Tommy’s, you should definitely go.
